About Luc Froehlich
I work at the meeting point of private credit and on-chain finance.
I'm interested in the parts of finance that decide whether investors get treated well: how credit is underwritten, how liquidity and duration are matched, whether governance holds when markets turn. Good governance doesn't loosen in booms and break in stress.
Background. I have spent 20+ years across credit markets and investment platforms. I started in private credit at Credit Suisse in Zurich, then moved to London (MUFG) to trade and co-manage credit derivatives portfolios and advise on credit exposure. In Asia, I helped build Manulife’s corporate credit franchise and managed multi-currency bond portfolios for institutional investors, including central banks and pension plans. At Fidelity International, I held global fixed income product leadership roles and then built the firm's digital-assets business from nothing - the strategy, the governance framework, its first Bitcoin ETP, and its investment in the first tokenised government green bond. I hold a Master’s from the University of St. Gallen and an MSc in blockchain, and I am a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
Today. I work on how institutional credit moves on-chain - how it is originated, structured, and governed well enough for serious capital to fund it. I sit on the board of Platform-D, the on-chain securitisation platform accepted into the Bank of England's Digital Securities Sandbox. I co-authored three World Economic Forum reports on digital currencies and capital markets, lectured on digital assets at the HSG, CUHK and National Chengchi.
I write and speak about private credit, structured finance, payments-adjacent credit, tokenisation, and the practical governance needed for institutional on-chain finance.
